The Mind Body Spirit Connection – Part 4: Resonance

When you change what you resonate with, you change your life. ~ Chloe Faith Wordsworth

Isn’t this fun?  😊

In Part 1 we discussed Energy (everything is energy); Part 2 was Frequency (everything has a frequency); Part 3 was Vibration (energy movement) and Part 4 we will focus on Resonance.

What is resonance?

To be honest, this definition is challenging as it has a myriad of meanings depending on the context.  The best one I found to describe it is based on the root word resonateto reinforce oscillations because the natural frequency of the device is the same as the frequency of the source.

When implementing this definition, it brings me to one simple conclusion … like attracts like.

This attraction is caused by oscillations (movement) which are rhythmic in nature (vibrational).

Everything around us has some sort rhythm … the sun’s cycle, the sound of rain, a heart beating, and our own in and out breathing pattern, just to name a few.

When we are exposed to something which resonates with us; no matter what it is, we are naturally compelled to move in sync with that rhythm.  That something can be a song,
a spot on the beach, a person, anything having a rhythm … even our thoughts.

The natural world around us is always striving to find some sort of rhythm, or balance if you will.  Some might call it harmony or homeostasis.  Whatever you call it, I am sure you have seen it happen.  There is even a popular phrase that describes this balance … water seeks its own level.

What does that mean?

There is a technical definition; however, we will be using this phrase metaphorically.  Basically, it means that everything will seek its own balance.  When conditions get a little unstable, changes and readjustments will occur until that state of balance (resonance) is achieved.

Every day, whether we know it or not, our personal energy, frequency, and vibration are striving to resonate with the world around us.  The question is: What choices are we making or choosing to surround ourselves with to create this harmony?  It could be anything … the music we listen to, the television shows we watch, the company we keep, the home we live in … do they all fulfill the purpose of creating the harmony we desire in life?

It’s very important to understand the life we have at any given moment is usually a byproduct of our thought process, for example:

Thoughts = Feelings = Actions = Results

What we think develops into how we feel, the actions we do and then the results we get. Given this premise we can utilize this same pattern to consciously change our reality and thus our resonance.

In the past, the adult brain was thought of as a static organ, hard-wired by events during childhood.

Today, with more and more being learned regarding neuroplasticity, we are discovering the brain is incredibly more capable of making changes and reorganizing itself.  It does this by forming new neural connections that can change vibrational patterns driving counterproductive habits, lopsided reactions, or even negative perceptions into the positive by rewriting patterns and reinvigorating our brains.

Not only is it possible, it’s doable.

However, creating resonance takes work.

And it’s a work worth doing, because it is this state of balance where healing takes place.  Achieving a state of harmony is where every body system likes to be.  This is where the organizing of atoms, molecules, cells, tissues and organs are at their optimal best to create a being of health and wellness … and a better life.

The goal is to establish a resonance with our inward and outward environment that relieves chaos in the body … some call this cellular sanity.  I love it!

How to achieve this?  In the field of resonance work, there are many options and different modalities, all leading to the same eventual goal, balance.  Many roads leading to one, if you will.  The trick is to find the one that resonates with us individually and then use it to get results.

In my next article, I will focus on only one … meditation.

Stay tuned …

By the way … the picture I chose to use for this post … the only way I can explain it is if you watch a video.  Cool stuff.
