Expectations

In the personal development world, it is a given our expectations play a significant role in the outcomes we manifest in our lives.

The Law of Expectation contends whatever you expect with confidence, whether this is positive or negative, becomes your reality.

In other words, your thoughts create the reality you live in.

When embarking on a new adventure, do you sit and contemplate what might happen or be the end result?

Imagine you are planning a trip to Disney World. Do you spend time thinking about how you’re going to get there? Do you make reservations? Do you spend countless hours mapping out your days?

Of course, you do. You do the pre-trip leg work with an expectation you will have a great time. And more often than not, when you plan ahead you are granted the anticipated outcome.

Time is spent planning, thinking, focusing on your trip because ultimately this will help create the vacation – the outcome — you want.

What would happen if that much focus, energy and thought was put into your nutritional goals?

Many people take more time planning their vacations than they do their weight loss and health goals.

They don’t have high expectations; they don’t set intentions; they don’t focus on outcomes. They expect successful results even though the pre-trip leg work is left undone. Instead, they just let chips fall where they may.

In the end, they are often disappointed by the results and wonder why success eludes them.

The literal definition of expectation is “the act or state of looking forward or anticipating.”

Do you anticipate a successful weight control outcome even before starting toward your goal?

Do you set high expectations when preparing your mind, body, and spirit for each hCG Protocol round?

Do you do the pre-trip leg work required for this weight control adventure?

Here are five steps to setting high expectations:

  1. Be clear – When embarking on a journey, make sure your accomplishment objectives are very clear. Know, without a doubt, the weight you want to reach; the size you want to wear; the way you will look; and how you will feel.
  2. Shoot for long term, but focus on short term – Plan each small step. See the goal in your mind; then work your way backwards – step by step – until a map is created getting you to your destination.
  3. Celebrate your accomplishments – Remember to pat yourself on the back for each step accomplished and a job well done. This encourages follow through, no matter what.
  4. Learn from setbacks – If obstacles pop up along the way, learn from them; make course corrections; take a detour; and don’t make the same mistake twice.
  5. Adjust when necessary – Sometimes people lose steam after unexpected roadblocks. This is the time to adjust your expectation and refuse to beat yourself up over it. Simply re-evaluate and set a new expectation.

Expectations are like road signs helping you stay clear, focused, and on the right track.  Celebrating, learning, and adjusting are the guideposts keeping you between the ditches, with forward momentum, and motivation.

Remember, the adage: If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.

Positive expectations are the first step on your pathway to reaching goals and your journey’s destination by making lifelong changes.

      Thank you!!!

  2. It is so true Biz it does help to have clear goals and to plan. I’ve done HCG in the past but never had a support group and when I look back really I have been floundering in the dark. This time it is so much easier. I know with help I overcome obstacles of which there are many, but with clear goals and plans set it is so much easier.
