Pounds and Inches ~ A Must Read

Repetition is the mother of learning, the father of action, which makes it the architect of accomplishment. ~ Zig Ziglarsimeons

How many times have you read the book “Pounds and Inches” by Dr. A.T.W Simeons?

I have seriously lost count of the number of times I’ve read through its pages.

From my first round, it was a constant daily companion, keeping it by my side and reading from it every day.

In fact, when I first got it, I read it twice in the same day – front to back.

For me, Dr. Simeons’ words were enlightening and rang true. I had finally found something new and different than anything I had ever seen before. I was obese and someone finally explained it to me in a language I understood.

One of my suppositions is we are either motivated away from pain, or towards pleasure. Pounds and Inches was what motivated me away from the pain I was feeling.

I had found something that made sense. It was scientific, yet not overly so that a layperson could understand and he wasn’t trying to sell me something; he was just stating facts and providing a solution.

First, it helped me and then it helped me help others. During that time, I was on different support forums and when questions arose testing my knowledge; I turned to the book finding the answers I sought.

My sister instigated my long-term association with hCG by putting me in contact with a knowledgeable friend. I learned what I could from the friend and then as it is my nature, did my own research and thus finding treasure trove, Pounds and Inches.  My introductory copy was online. Wanting easy access and desiring the information at my fingertips, I printed a copy and placed it in a binder.

Eventually, a kind someone (bless their soul) took the time to convert the manuscript into a digital format allowing me to utilize the computer’s search feature, finding the exact excerpt I sought, helping answer forum questions; quoting Dr. Simeons verbatim, or paraphrasing his ideas.

Over the years having read Pounds and Inches numerous time, Dr. Simeons has become a virtual confidant.  When I hear a member hasn’t taken the opportunity to read the book, I must admit I am always shocked and surprised. There is a gold mine of information contained therein. If you haven’t set aside the time to read the book Pounds and Inches I invite you to do so now. The HTML version is linked here.

Reading this book is integral to Protocol success for a number of reasons.

  1. Pounds and Inches is an informative explanation and summary of the hCG Protocol diet plan. The manuscript explains how it works and contains Dr. Simeons original detailed “how-to” guide and data guaranteeing results.
  1. When beginning anything new, questions are bound to arise. The book answers a plethora of questions and includes additional information on medications, supplements, water consumption, menstrual cycles, menopause, etc.
  1. Simeons research and wisdom guides and teaches his readers directly about the program. By reading the original text, you will get the information first hand not an interpretation by someone else when the true meaning becomes lost or skewed.
  1. During your progression through the program, new questions, concerns and insights invariably will pop up. Rereading the book is your go-to for finding answers. Additionally, as time passes, we experience age-related issues. For me, the subject of menopause gave me a reason to review the book and see it with relevance and fresh eyes.

Here’s the bottom line — Reading and re-reading Pounds and Inches is the key to a long-term favorable outcome. Whether this is first time or diving back in after a hiatus, becoming better informed and seeking the wisdom within its pages will ensure success.

As stated earlier, Pounds and Inches contains Dr. Simeons’ original hCG diet. Since that time many changes in our lifestyles and food production have changed and the diet has undergone iterations and evolved to meet them with equal success. If this information piques your interest and you want to learn more, one such update is called The First Step. Another option is to become part of a test group experiment, such as, High Fat Protocol (HFP2). Doesn’t that sound intriguing?!?  If so, please use this link to contact me and I will provide all the details.
