Recipe: Broccoli Crunch

Recipe: Broccoli Crunch

I am going to start this recipe off with a warning.

THESE ARE ADDICTING

That is all.  ::giggle::

But seriously.

If you are going to make these for P2, keep in mind that if you choose to eat the entire recipe, it will take up 1/3 of your allowed calories using The Biz Buzz Method (The First Step).  But oh my goodness, is it worth it!

There are two tricks with this particular recipe.

One is to make sure each and every piece is small (like the piece on the right of the picture) – the smaller they are, the more crunchy it gets, and then […]

Recipe: Easy Peasy Roast Beef

Recipe: Easy Peasy Roast Beef

Who doesn’t like roast Beef?

Sometimes on P2 we get the idea that food has to be bland and not interesting.  Why deprive yourself of a great tasting meal just because you are on P2?

Like the title says, this is easy peasy, and depending on what cut of beef you use, can be quick (some cuts might require more time simmering).

You can even cook this ahead and freeze in appropriate portions, and grab and go!  If you are looking for a place to fit some clean fats in, then a dollop of sour cream will go nicely with this.  Yum!

Enjoy!

When it’s cold, what is better than a cup of soup?

Better yet, a SPICY cup of soup.

It just warms you from the inside out.

Just because you are on P2 does not mean you have to suffer with plain and bland foods.  Kick them up a notch (or two) by using spices!

Be careful however, spices do have calories, and when you are dealing with a limited amount of calories during the day, they can add up quite quickly.

Did you know that as long as the serving size listed on a label has less than five calories that the company can legally […]

Recipe: P2 Potassium Salad

Recipe: P2 Potassium Salad

I wrote an article not to long ago on the value of looking at your potassium numbers in relation to your sodium numbers.

The article leaned toward using the formula contained within during the maintenance phase of your weight control journey.  But some people don’t realize that it is advantageous to follow that rule of thumb during your P2 as well.

I have what I call a “Potassium Day” that you can use on P2 that is almost a miracle for helping you get yourself out of a stall, or to use after a night of indulgence […]

Recipe: Chicken Mustard Coleslaw With Apple

Recipe: Chicken Mustard Coleslaw With Apple

Like I mentioned last week, I am on a pound a day of raw kick.  I know this is a stupid time of year for it, because in most places, it’s cold.

There is never any rhyme or reason for what I do, when I do it. HA!

I have been scouring my archives, and the internet to find recipes that enable me to get this in with no muss, no fuss.

This recipe calls for 2 cups of cabbage, the weight on that is about 5 oz, then for the apple, which mine was about 5 oz – so for just one […]

Recipe: Curry Chicken Soup

Recipe: Curry Chicken Soup

Soup.

On P2, there is no other better meal.

It’s filling.  It’s easy.  It’s delish.

And curry?  Let’s not forget about the delish factor of this spice.  However, I do have to concede that people either hate it or love it.  My ex-husband totally hated it and couldn’t stand the smell so I never used it in the house.  If I wanted curry anything, I had to go elsewhere.  ::giggle::

This makes an unruly amount of soup.  It can actually be split into two servings, so you can eat one half for lunch, and then the other half for a mid-afternoon snack.  HA!

Enjoy!

I call it a stall buster for P2.

No, not this salad per se, but this is one meal of the Stall Buster Routine.

When in a stall, this is my first line of defense. Now before I describe what the menu is for this stall buster, let me first explain what I consider a stall.  Even before that, let’s see what Dr. Simeons considers a stall:

The Plateau:

…the weight has been stationary for at least four days without any dietary error having been committed.

In my coaching, I am a little bit more liberal with my […]

Recipe: Apple Chicken Slaw

Recipe: Apple Chicken Slaw

One thing I hear over and over again while I coach is this:

I need easy to make ahead meal ideas for P2.

Biz to the rescue!

This is one of those recipes that you can make the night before and it stays well for a day or more.  It’s an all in one meal so travels very well.  It takes only 5-10 minutes to prepare so you don’t have that excuse that something takes too long to make so I had to stop at a drive thru to eat.

::giggle::

Top it off?  It’s tasty!

And one more thing?  At my local Winn-Dixie […]
